PeachJam visual direction study · round two

Gradient Atmosphere Atlas

Seventy-two distinct directions across color, geometry, placement, and intensity—tested on real PeachJam layouts rather than isolated color swatches.

Selection study, not shipped application CSS. The screenshots use real localhost pages and a real isolated in-memory Go API. Playwright applied each prototype to the existing shared gradient surfaces before capture. Once you choose a direction, the final implementation should promote it to named semantic tokens in frontend/src/index.css. No LLM-provider request or response behavior was touched.

Starting point

The current root, login, and dashboard are relatively restrained. Getting started remains the benchmark for broader, stronger atmosphere.

The whole field

A compressed map of all 72 root-page captures. Use it to spot families that feel materially different before opening the full cards below.

Contact sheet of all 72 gradient variants

Each tile below is also available at full resolution with a second product state. Names are grouped into nine intentional composition families.

Eight decision anchors

This is not a ranked recommendation yet. These eight span conservative warmth, new shapes, cool counterpoints, and a deliberate maximum-energy endpoint.

All 72 directions

Every card pairs the same root page with a rotating second page so the atlas remains comparable while still covering auth, app, modal, error, home, and mobile states.

Finalist page audit

Switch the state once to compare all eight finalists on the same page. The audit includes root, login, signup, dashboard, connectors, 404, home, both mobile states, and getting started.

How to choose

You can select a complete direction or combine a palette, composition, and intensity from different cards.

Lowest brand risk

Coral Apricot Bloom and Warm Quadrants strengthen today’s fruit palette without changing PeachJam’s overall color identity.

Most distinctive

Cobalt Peach, Lavender Jam, and Peach Prism create a more ownable product atmosphere while retaining peach as an anchor.

Implementation after selection

  • Promote the chosen atmosphere into shared semantic variables.
  • Unify root/dashboard, auth, error, and onboarding mappings.
  • Verify dark mode, reduced motion, contrast, and mobile.
